Wedding Coffee Catering in Ipoh: Two Weddings, Two Days, One New Coffee Cart

Wedding Coffee Catering in Ipoh: Two Weddings, Two Days, One New Coffee Cart

Some events are special because of the people you meet. Others are special because of the moments you get to be part of.

A wedding is both.

A few weeks ago, we had the opportunity to provide coffee catering for two weddings, back to back, on consecutive days.

It was also the debut of our brand-new coffee cart.

We have always believed that coffee is more than just a drink. It creates opportunities for people to gather, connect and share moments. And being invited into someone's wedding day, one of the most important occasions in their lives, is something we never take lightly.

To be a small part of that celebration is truly humbling.

Introducing Our New Coffee Cart

Before getting into the weddings, we have something new to show you.

Both events marked the first outing of our all-new coffee cart, custom-made with a full solid oak wood finish and stainless steel detailing, complete with a front-facing LED display panel.

This was a big upgrade from our previous setup.

We wanted something that felt more refined, something that could sit comfortably in different event environments, whether it was an intimate outdoor wedding or a more formal celebration.

The LED panel also gave us something new to play with.

Instead of having a generic coffee cart at the venue, we could customise the display to complement the event and make the setup feel more personal to the couple.

And as we would soon find out, that little detail made quite a difference.

Wedding No. 1: A Personal Touch at Canning Garden Baptist Church

Location: Canning Garden Baptist Church, Ipoh
The first wedding was for a long-time friend of ours.

Naturally, we wanted to do whatever we could to make the experience special for them. Beyond providing coffee for their guests, we wanted to make the coffee cart feel like it belonged to their wedding.

So we prepared a few complimentary touches.

We designed a personalised wedding logo for the couple, which was displayed on the cart's LED screen. We also provided customised cup stickers, giving every cup a little reminder of the occasion.

It was a small gesture, but we felt that these little details were what made the experience truly theirs.

We arrived early in the morning to get everything ready. Before the guests arrived, we had already brewed around 100 cups of coffee in preparation for the afternoon service, where we were expecting approximately 200 guests.

And when service started, things moved quickly.

Sure enough, the coffee was cleared within two hours.

It was one of those moments where you barely have time to look up. Orders kept coming, cups kept going out, and before we knew it, we were almost done.

A Little Lesson in Logistics

Of course, not everything went according to plan.

Our new coffee cart is no longer collapsible, which means transporting it requires a little more planning. For this event, we arranged for Lalamove to help move the cart.

Unfortunately, the driver who had initially promised to take the job became unavailable at the last minute.

That left us scrambling to find an alternative arrangement.

It was a good reminder that coffee catering involves much more than preparing coffee and showing up at the venue. Logistics, transportation and setup are just as important, especially when working with equipment that isn't exactly small or easy to move.

Thankfully, we managed to work things out and get everything ready.

One wedding down. One more to go.

Wedding No. 2: An Outdoor Celebration at STG by Taman Chateau

Location: STG by Taman Chateau, Ipoh

The very next morning, we were back at it again.

This time, we were serving at an outdoor wedding at STG by Taman Chateau, beautifully designed by Love & Love, who also engaged us for the event.

Compared to the previous day, this wedding had a much more intimate atmosphere. The celebration was intended for close friends and family, so the pace was considerably calmer.

It was a different kind of wedding experience.

The outdoor setting, the styling and the smaller gathering gave the whole event a lovely atmosphere. Our new oak wood coffee cart fitted naturally into the surroundings, and it was nice to see the setup in a completely different environment from the day before.

There was also another cart at the event, a gelato cart.

We got to spend some time chatting with the team behind it and exchanged a few thoughts about working in the events industry. They were kind enough to share some of their past experiences, including mistakes they had made along the way.

We always appreciate conversations like these.

Running an event business comes with plenty of challenges that people don't necessarily see. Sometimes, the most useful lessons come from simply talking to someone who has been through it before.

It was a nice reminder that even though we might be providing different things, we're all figuring out how to make events better for the people attending them.

Making Wedding Coffee Catering More Personal

Looking back at these two days, what stood out to us was how different the experiences were.

One was a busy celebration for a long-time friend, where we had the chance to personalise the cups and coffee cart with the couple's own wedding identity.

The other was a more intimate outdoor wedding, where our coffee cart became part of a beautifully styled setting.

Two different weddings, two different atmospheres, but the same reason for being there.

To serve people and make their day a little more memorable.

At Blank Coffee Roaster, we want our coffee catering service to be more than just a coffee machine and a barista at your venue. We want to bring something that complements the occasion, whether that's a personalised coffee cart, customised cup stickers or simply a well-prepared cup of coffee for your guests.

We provide wedding coffee catering in Ipoh and across Peninsular Malaysia, with a mobile coffee cart setup that can be tailored to suit different celebrations and event styles.

If you're planning a wedding and looking for something a little different for your guests, we'd love to be part of it.

Because some moments only happen once.

And if we get the chance to be there, we want to make sure every cup is worth remembering.

Another two weddings, another new experience, and a little more of Blank filled.
