17 September 2026 | Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur
Sometimes, you don't really know where a cup of coffee will take you.
For us, it brought Blank Coffee Roaster into a room filled with people working in one of the most specialised industries we have ever catered for.
On 17 September, we had the opportunity to provide coffee and tea for Cleanroom Summit 2026, held at Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur, serving around 200 cups to VIP attendees.
This was also the first time the Cleanroom Summit was held in Malaysia.
And honestly, being there as a barista felt pretty humbling.

How We Got Here
This opportunity came through a chain of relationships that started much earlier.
Through our previous corporate catering clients, DGP Intelsius and Cynotex Sdn Bhd, we were introduced to Lighthouse Worldwide Solutions, the facilitator and host of Cleanroom Summit 2026.
It was one of those moments that reminded us that catering is never just about serving coffee.
You show up for one event.
You meet someone.
You do your best.
And sometimes, that relationship leads you somewhere you never expected.
For Blank, this was one of those occasions.
Coffee Among Industry Leaders
The Cleanroom Summit brought together professionals from a highly specialised industry, with people working across cleanroom technology, contamination control and related fields.
For someone who spends most days thinking about coffee, roasting and hospitality, stepping into an environment like this was an interesting experience.
Everyone seemed to have a very specific role to play.
And there we were, behind the coffee cart, making sure everyone had something warm to drink between conversations and sessions.
It was a small role within a much bigger event, but I felt genuinely grateful to be there.
There is something quite special about being able to serve coffee to people who lead and shape their respective industries.
You get to meet people you otherwise might never cross paths with.
And for a barista, sometimes the best part of an event is simply being there, listening, observing and having a few conversations along the way.
Bringing Blank With Us
This time, we also managed to squeeze our coffee cart into the setup.
It might sound like a small thing, but it mattered to us.
The cart is becoming an increasingly important part of how we represent Blank at events. Instead of simply having a coffee machine on a table, we wanted to bring something that felt more like us.
Something people could recognise.
Something that made the setup feel intentional.
And, of course, we wanted to make sure we represented ourselves well in front of Lighthouse Worldwide Solutions and everyone attending the summit.
A good event setup does not need to shout.
Sometimes, it just needs to look like you belong there.

Another Blank Filled
Looking back, this event felt like more than another 200 cups served.
It was a reminder of how much of Blank's journey has been built through people.
One client introduces us to another.
One event leads to another.
A conversation becomes an opportunity.
And suddenly, a small coffee roastery from Ipoh is standing behind a coffee cart at a specialised international summit in Kuala Lumpur.
We are still figuring things out as we go.
But every now and then, we get these little reminders that showing up, doing good work and taking care of people can take you further than you expect.
And for that, we're grateful.
Thank you to Lighthouse Worldwide Solutions for having us at Cleanroom Summit 2026, and to DGP Intelsius and Cynotex Sdn Bhd for being part of the chain that brought us here.
Another room.
Another 200 cups.
Another blank filled.
