On December 6th, we joined the Christmas Bazaar at Tenby International School Ipoh, a lively, semi-outdoor market held along the school’s main corridor just beside its parlour. It was a one-day Saturday event, but from the moment our cart rolled in, the energy felt like something far bigger.
What started as a simple community bazaar quickly turned into one of the most memorable events we have attended this year.
A Festive Menu That Brought People Back (Again… and Again)
We served a curated, crowd-friendly menu featuring:
-
Coffee Pina Colada
-
Apple Hojicha with Salted Cream
-
Espresso-based drinks
-
Matcha
It was also the perfect opportunity to showcase our newly acquired mobile coffee cart, sleek, compact, and unmistakably professional. Being the only booth with a full-fledged coffee cart setup, we naturally caught curious glances as people walked by, and many of those glances eventually turned into returning customers.
Some came back twice.
Some came back three times.
One parent came back six times, a record that still makes us smile.
A Crowd That Felt Like Home
The turnout exceeded expectations, enthusiastic parents, warm teachers, familiar faces, and plenty of meaningful conversations.
A surprising number of customers recognized Blank Coffee Roaster from past events or from being regular supporters of our wholesale partners. Many were parents of the students, which made the interactions feel incredibly natural. They introduced friends to our booth, brought others over to “try this coffee you must taste,” and filled the corridors with genuine holiday cheer.
This event reminded us once again of something we deeply believe.
Coffee connects people, and connection builds community.
Small Wins That Mean the Most
There were so many little moments that made the day feel special.
People would slow down when they passed the cart, take a second look, then circle back with a smile. Some came back just to tell me how good their drink was, which honestly made my whole day. Parents started sending their friends over, and teachers wandered in between breaks with that “I really need coffee right now” face.
They might seem like small things, but these were the moments that hit the hardest.
The kind that remind us why we show up, why we pour so much into every cup, and why Blank Coffee Roaster exists in the first place.
Behind the Scenes: Chaos, Hustle & Heart
The week leading up to the bazaar was intense.
A few wholesale partners made large orders at the same time, so our roastery was running late into the night for three straight days. We barely had time to breathe. But we pushed through, made sure everything was freshly roasted, and prepared for the event.
And because every good story needs a plot twist, we accidentally left the matcha powder behind, which meant scrambling for a last-minute delivery that arrived almost two hours after the event started.
Still, the drinks flowed, the crowd cheered, and by the end of the bazaar, almost everything was sold out, down to random leftovers that were not even enough for a full drink.
Brand Visibility That Matters
The event turned out to be a perfect fit for Blank Coffee Roastery.
A community of families who appreciate quality coffee.
A setting filled with conversation, connection, and curiosity.
A festive atmosphere aligned with our mission to let coffee fill in the blank.
We met new supporters, reconnected with familiar faces, and introduced our drinks to a completely new audience who now knows where to find us.
By the end of the day, exhaustion was real, but so was the sense of fulfillment and pride.
It felt like another step forward in the journey we have been building since day one.

Until the Next One…
